Do It
Do it is an ongoing series of short solo performances based on written instructions (scores) by artists and friends. The project was inspired by flipping the pages of Do it: The Compendium curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist. The book was written in 1993 as an experiment in finding fine arts exhibition formats that could be more flexible and open-ended. Taking cues from other art movements, such as Fluxus and Conceptual Art, Obrist investigated whether a show could be developed by “scores” to be interpreted every time the show was presented.
