Laura Pazuchowski is currently investigating “what is necessary” as it relates to creating meaning and how simplicity and rhythm can alter the perception of time. In her performances, she uses everyday objects, music, monologue, and body to explore physical boundaries and social constructs in everyday experience. Her current academic research focuses on Trisha Brown’s influence on post-modern dance including task-based performance, the economy of everyday movement, and defying gravity. Laura Pazuchowski seeks new ways to create work through collaborative processes and engaging students and community through teaching. She has recently moved from Detroit, MI to Baltimore, MD for her studies as an MFA Theatre candidate at Towson University.
